If you haven’t seen it yet, or heard the controversy, game developers are claiming they can’t create their games for the Xbox One with as high of a quality of graphics as they can for the PlayStation 4. After reading this, one might feel an understandable level of disgust towards Microsoft, but if the following video shows an accurate comparison, there’s really not much of a difference in quality. See Battlefield 4 on the PS4 in 1080 and Battlefield 4 on the Xbox One in 720 in the following IGN side-by-side comparison video and judge for yourself.

I’m glad you guys said something, the Xbox version looked more crisp and with better contrast to me too. Someone on Twitter noticed it as well. Not sure if that’s the end result after uploading to YouTube or what. When I try to play high def vids on YouTube, they always look better at 720 than 1080, and I HAVE let them load first to make sure, so this may be messing with the results some. Also I wonder what the difference is while playing on a big screen.

I couldn’t tell of real difference. It seemed like the colors were maybe a tiny bit more vibrant on the Xbox, but I don’t know. I would have to see a bunch of different side by side comparisons from different games to really get a feel for it.

I’m really interested to see the difference between COD versions. Xbox having a lower resolution could be huge.

I can’t tell that there is any difference at all. As high as both graphics are, the differences are going to be hard for the normal person to tell.

Samzies. To me the Xbox was more crisp. Is that even possible?

There is barely any difference. I just don’t see a big deal here between graphics.
