Architecture often includes design or selection of furnishings and decorations, supervision of construction work, and the examination, restoration, or remodeling of existing buildings.

A theme that we have wanted to do since the beginning of Forge Cafe, is a replication contest of architecturally historical places that hold profound markers in mankind’s quest to build outward and upward. As Forgers, we echo this resonance in our own maps as we ourselves take pride in creating our own works of art. In both instances, what the builder essentially creates remains forever entombed in the past, left behind only to entertain the observer with questions of motive towards it’s designer.

Synthesizing the two worlds of material and digital, a medium is found in duplication. What exists in the digital, can be replicated in the physical. Likewise, a trained eye and patient hands can take what exists in our world, and model it in the Forge. The vast majority of our contests have been directed towards the less restrictive and more flexible realm of cosmetics. As a designer, one can focus their attention on detail and precision Forging, putting functionality aside. What often comes out of this, is a wide variety of masterpieces that more often than not tend to push the Forgers to their creative cliffs. This is what we intend to do with this contest, as we consider it an important aspect of Forge that is unfortunately overlooked in a game that is rooted firmly in it’s artistically engineered canvases.
