Monday December 9th is the 343rd day of the year, so 343 hath dubbed it 343 Day. As part of the celebration, they are releasing the Resistor Tactical Package free, which will show up as a Loadout option after the update.
The Resistor Tactical Package offers a small delay to the normal effects that occur to walking and sprinting when taking fire.
Gamers who sign in and complete at least one match on 343 Day will also receive the Commando Helmet in a one-day giveaway. The game can be in War Games or Spartan Ops, and the helmet will be received within a few days afterwards. Another way to get the helmet is through the Dominion Victory Commendation, which is the only way to get the rest of the armor in the Commando set. Dominion is slated to be removed from War Games on the update.
343 Day also comes with it’s own Playlist containing a new gametype called Speed Slayer where Spartans have 130% speed and game Loadouts of Resistor and Mobility on several Halo 4 maps in teams of 6v6.
