Halo 4 will be coming out on November 6, 2012, Microsoft and 343 Industries have confirmed this morning. To kick off awareness the start-date of Master Chief’s next mission, Conan O’Brien will have a Halo-themed segment on his show at 11PM PST tonight.
Halo 4 will be the first (presumably) full-priced Halo game to release in November in eight years, as Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach released in September. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary came out on November 15 of last year, though the $40 price tag likely made it a much more attractive proposition during the busiest retail release week of the year. With Call of Duty staking out mid-November on a yearly basis, does Halo 4 have the ability to remain strong? Regardless of the outcome, it should be an interesting showdown.
