Clan Filter Application: 8 Bit Brigade

The cold, hard world of Randoms can beat the mercenary gamer into a shocked disbelief that community gaming is possible. Here we hope to gesture toward a light at the end of the tunnel of Random hell, and provide a life-line into that colorful and often richly rewarding world. Read more about Clan Filter here, submit your clan to Clan Filter here or Take the Test.

Clan Thread at Halo Diehards: 8 Bit Brigade!

What is your clan’s policy on tbagging/trashtalking?
Our official stance is that is pretty douchy to tea bag people. However, if there’s a player or two in particular that have been griefing you the entire game, giving them a little What-for isin’t out of the question. Listen, we’re all adults here, and 8 Bitters play for fun. But if you’re an all out rager and take your anger out on the other team, we’re probably not the clan for you. MmmK?

Check all that can describe your clan:
…..[] We are a competitive clan and train as a team
…..[X] We are semi-competitive and play to win.
…..[X] We are a casual, fun based clan

What is the age-range for members in your clan?: 21 and up. Reason being that we have 1 or 2 get togethers every year, and there is drinking involved.

We are looking for members that play:

This one has always been tough for us. We’re all adults who have jobs and families, and some are still in college, so getting the times to coalesce is an exercise in itself.

8BitBrigade is a pretty tight knit group of adults who like to play video games. Many of us have traveled great distances to attend clan meets, where we eat, play board games, Rock Band, Dance Central, and drink beer. We have an age requirement of 21 because of this, not because a younger person could not be mature enough. Our forum is one of the most active around, with a real time chat box. Much of the forum activity happens while we are at work, supposedly working.

Every year, we organize a fund raiser for Child’s Play, a charity that provides video games for hospitalized kids. This year will be our 7th event, and we have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for Child’s Play. We love to help kids play games!

Our group is very diverse in many ways, not only in age and lifestyle, but in the games we play. Shooters seem to be the favorite, with Halo, CoD, and Borderlands being the usuals. Some play Magic the Gathering, and you can always catch some playing the newest XBL Arcade releases. There is a large iOS game crowd, too, if that’s your boat.

All in all, we a re a relaxed crowd who like to hang out. Nothing too structured, but we all get up in the morning and get dressed to go to work. Come check us out, and see what you think! Tell them Shloog sent you. :yay:
