I had fun last night. A few thoughts on the maps and games.
I probably won’t run big team 3-ball on Meltdown Orange again. There are no forge options for the map which allows you to easily close off the bases. There are shield doors, but they’re not big enough to close off the door ways and forge only allots 6 on the map, which is not enough. Shame. Maybe it would work better as multi-team. The map is good to go for Slayer and Flag already and I’ll be preparing it with customized hill locations for ordered K0TH. Were the vehicles utilized at all? I didn’t notice.
I’m going to remove the Laser from Harvest Classic and replace it with rockets. With as fast as everything moves, specifically vehicles, and the long charge to fire off the laser, rockets seem like they would be more useful for eliminating vehicle and infantry threats. Plus, with the quick disappearance of ordnance weapons once their dropped, the laser seemed to have very little affect on the game when I was intending on just the opposite. I’m also going to prop the scattershots up on the rocks near their locations so people can more easily see them. Don’t forget, there’s a plasma pistol, located on the platform at the top of the left stairs in each base, which is on a 30 sec respawn.
For CHa0s’ Exile: I’d put either just one sniper rifle on the map, centrally located (maybe under B), or put one on (or under) the Banshee bridge and one on (or under) the tank bridge. I like the idea of making teams leave their base to contest each other for the power weapons on that map.
Adrift: I’d have to look at it again. The game we played was really short.
edit: where is Empty Bag on either of our MMHC game nights? I need to shoot me some Empty!
