Someone up there ^ said that it wasn’t necessarily 343’s decision to make all the nerfness nerfed and such (I’m paraphrasing here ;) ) and you are very correct. I literally don’t know who to point the finger at. It’s been bothering me since I read that – just wanted to “own up”.

As far as the communities coming together, I never got immersed in Halo Charts. I probably only ever went there a handful of times. The communities I was involved with during Halo 3 were all Halo 3-based, “play to win”, “don’t cheat”, “have good sportsmanship” clans and we were all very active. Every single “Halo only” clan changed to include Call of Duty when REACH came out. That’s pretty bad when a franchise can chase off the core of their fans, the diehards that were there to the end of one version, only to jump off like rats on a sinking ship.

But yeah, Halo UNITY is pretty much in trouble, because like has been mentioned before, most people who have the motivation, time, and passion to help a community grow are already involved in one. Halo UNITY has some really negative “regulars” too, that chase people off. Including me. I had someone tell me, “CHa0s, no one likes your site.” And a couple weeks ago someone was in there spouting drama about someone else’s husband propositioning her. Then you have new people getting pounced on negatively in the forums. Not a conducive environment for growth.

That’s pretty sad too, because in idea, it really does have a lot to offer. I wonder if he would find success recruiting leadership from some of the lesser known groups, people who want to be a part of something bigger but don’t have the means…
