Mars rover Curiosity has discovered what looks to be clear proof of a dry river bed. The size of the rocks found in teh alluvial fan (soil and rocks deposited when a river enters a larger body of water) is consistent with what they believe to be a river running for quite some time at approximately 3ft/second between ankle to hip deep. (<<I wonder if calculated into that is different gravity and atmosphere… also, isn't it possible it wasn't water but some other liquid?)
Clay and sulfate minerals detected might provide evidence of carbon-based organic chemicals, those potential ingredients for life.
