I like Kindle and Audible for reading or listening to books. Barcode scanner and QR Droid for reading bar codes and QR codes. Drawing pad is a fun little artist app that I mainly keep for kids that want to play with my phone. Evernote is a nice for sharing notes, pics and documents between your computer and phone. I know you go to conventions so I think you would like GroupMe. We used it at Pax to keep up where everyone was and when we wanted to meet up somewhere. You can send texts to the whole group or individuals. Pandora is great for music. Tell it a couple of artists you like and it will play them and find similar artists you might like. And of course Lightsword, it turns your phone into a lightsaber. I keep this on my phone for my nephew who is Autistic and loves Star Wars. We have had many lightsaber battles to see if my Android can beat his iphone. He always wins. (;
