Decided to have our very first Xbox 360 repaired (for the red ring of death), so I visited a local Radio Shack store that advertises Xbox repairs. That 360 didn’t have wireless or an HDMI port, but I thought it was good enough for my daughter to have in her campus apartment with a hardline net- we’re planning on getting Destiny for both her and my 360, so we can play together (I’ll have it for the X1 too.).

Back to Radio Shack… While discussing our old 360, the tech asked “why not just trade it in for one they have on the shelf – same cost as the repair.” I said sure… so he pulled it off the shelf, and then apologized that it was an unattractive green and that it had a graphic of Halo 3 and Bungie on its side… Sitting in front of me was a limited edition Halo 3 Xbox 360… I said sure, the color’s OK, lets make the trade. We tested it – tested fine. Daughter’s pretty stoked! Halo 3 is her alltime favorite game.
