As the video in the Thruster Pack thread shows, Thrusting just before you hit the center lift on Solace can make you fly up to the sniper perch you are running towards. I learned last night if you use it just as you hit the lift, it can kick you back to the one behind you. The weird thing is, you can make yourself go through the lift instead of getting kicked back by pushing back on your thumbstick, instead of forward. Weird! Confused yet?

The cool thing is, we also discovered that you can do the same trick using Sprint: if you are running from a base towards the lift. If you use Sprint and jump into it, it will kick you back the way you came, but it will do it with force. It seems the faster you are going when you hit the cannon, the higher it kicks you – back from whence you came. You can use this to put yourself almost anywhere on the map in Solace, especially if you have Thruster, but even just Sprinting you can control what direction you bounce back off the lift with your thumbstick.
