So… whaddya all think?

I’m a little challenged when it comes to rpg’s, so I can get frustrated. Sometimes I don’t want to pick out my char’s looks, I just want to jump in the game! But who wants to run around looking Default forever? I wish there was a way to change it later. I missed my chick’s hair. If I could name her, I’d name her “Default”.

Gameplay has been pretty fun. I like the jump height, it reminds me of old-school MC. Not so keen on the holding the stupid button for a loading screen. That one reminds me of the Spartan Ops button pushing, lol.

In fact, a LOT about it reminds me of Halo, including “Guardians”.

Player movement feels a little weird, not very smooth compared to Halo. Visually, I love the environments, but think the contrast should be turned down in some of the rooms, and crave a more “realistic” look to the building interiors, while increasing the contrast outdoors, where the views could be more visually stunning.

Not very happy about the scary aspects of the game. I don’t like being startled!!! I quit playing last night after going into the Flood room (yep, another Halo-like detail, not to mention the Huragok-like floaty things that pop when you kill them. Hate those things, they are quite visually unappealing.)

All in all, I’m enjoying it, and can’t wait to get in with some friends. Just dipped a toe in last night, since I found out late about it getting released early.
