Yes. This is called expanding the skill gap and as far as I’m concerned, this is a good thing for Halo 4. If, and that’s a big IF, it actually works.

However, will actually balancing the weapons expand the skill gap or just make it so the DMR doesn’t dominate? At the very least, the people that have stuck with the BR, will be totally wrecking folks if it gets buffed to a 4sk weapon. So I suppose this could help to expand the skill gap.

That is my point: if they buff the other weapons, they will actually do the opposite of expanding the skill gap, because skilled players will kill you faster. This means less skilled players, the ones that they were trying to protect (which resulted in so many not liking the game in the first place), will no longer be as protected. Unless the rank system works like it’s supposed to, which would be uber awesome.

Edit: I have to add here that I am not complaining. I *want* a stronger BR. The BR is Halo, to nerf the BR was a very bad decision.
