“Real Life ODST” Full Free-Fall Footage

Back when I posted up about Felix Baumgartner’s ODST-like drop from Earth’s upper atmosphere, I didn’t know there was video footage of it! Watch Felix fall to Earth, the first to break the sound barrier in a suit, coached by the first man to break the sound barrier in an aircraft, Chuck Yeager, in this very cool find by Halo Diehard member, w0rm.

When rumors were abound prior to the release of Halo 4, one of the fantastic ideas I’d come up with was a versus mode, where players would be allowed to choose which type of Flood they would be. Imagine my disappointment at learning that not only had Flood gameplay not been given much to set it apart from what people were doing in customs already, all the Flood looked EXACTLY alike, AND they didn’t even look like Flood!! Add to that the annoying rabid-donkey-bred-with-a-gunieau-pig sound the Halo 4 Flood make, and I was going to be even less likely to play Flood than I had been previously.
But what’s this?! Someone has had a similar fantastic idea, and a Halo 4 custom gametype mod has been created that not only allows players to choose different types of Flood similar to Left 4 Dead versus, like a Battlefield 4 medic you can even “heal” your teammates when they’re infected by a slow-infecting Flood!
The gametype also includes other features such as being able to scale objects and make objects disappear when a Dominion base is taken.

Game Informer’s Destiny News Condensed
I’ve been wanting to catch up on Destiny news, but haven’t had the time. Since deciding to incorporate other gaming news at Halo Diehards, computer woes and maxing out the hard drive on my 360 have had me buried under, and are causing video editing to take up to 10 times longer than it should. A new 360 hard drive is on the way, and I’m in the process of researching computers, but in the meantime there are so many hours of Destiny news out there, so many sources, where’s a newb to start?!
This comprehensive video by More Console was posted by Bludgeondary on FaceBook today, and features all the Destiny news that Game Informer has covered on the Official Game Informer Destiny page, all condensed in under 20 minutes, and it’s a GREAT place to start – thanks, Bludge, for the heads up!
