Creative Customs Halo 5 Forge Showcase

Creative Customs, formerly Casually Competitive Customs, is a Halo Forge group whose members have been creating quality maps and gametypes for years. Hosted by o Nondual o, customs game nights feature maps and gametypes created by group members, and other quality maps and gametypes found around the community.

Creative Customs Halo 5 Forge Showcase is a Youtube playlist I’ve created to share videos from game nights. Check out some of the fun stuff we’re playing Monday nights, and maybe find a new map or gametype to add to your collection. We’ll try to add new videos and clips to this playlist weekly.

Halo Diehards H5 Clip Chips

Recently I realized that it’s easier than ever to upload clips and share them from YouTube. Like I’ve covered before, Halo 5 video clips taken by the Xbox One DVR are automatically available for anyone to view or download from XboxDVR.com. But what I didn’t know until recently is that you can also easily upload them to YouTube without downloading them, with the push of a button if you make a free account.

And so Halo Diehards Clip Chips was born (Quick Clips was already taken!) The following playlist, which is also available on our Halo Diehards Video page will update as clips are added. Any Halo Diehards members or gaming buddies who’d like to have their clips added to the playlist, or even feature your own active playlist at our site, contact me and we’ll work out the deets!

Halo: Master Chief Collection Forge Completely Nerfed for H3

CrazedOne1988 betrays AddiCt3d 2CHa0s, Halo 3 Sandbox CTF

CrazedOne1988 betrays AddiCt3d 2CHa0s, Halo 3 Sandbox CTF

In the hype leading up to the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we were told that the Halo games were to be included in their original forms. I mistakenly took this to mean this included Forge. I was looking forward to playing Halo 3 more than anything else in the Master Chief Collection. The thought of playing Halo 3 on dedicated servers in 1080p at 60 frames per second… I couldn’t wait.

Cut to post release of MCC. I’m absolutely blown away with how fantastic the Halo 3 maps look on the Xbox One. Citadel, Construct – – mind blowing. Matchmaking, however, continues to be broken, and more than ever we need to be able to access customs.

But guess what? Halo: Master Chief Collection has absolutely no custom game support in Forge for Halo 3. It was not included in the game in it’s original form. In fact, you can only Forge maps that will play basic slayer gametypes. So as of the publishing of this post, there is no Halo 3 Grifball. There is no Halo 3 Rocket Race, and there is no Halo 3 King of the Hill or Flag on custom maps on the Xbox One in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Does this get yer panties in a bunch as bad as it does mine? Well, even if it doesn’t, I implore you to head on over to the Official thread over at Halo Waypoint and help us let it be known that our Forgers and custom games creators need these tools to continue to produce creative content for us to explore and have fun adventures on. Don’t you want to see what they come up with in Halo 3 in 1080p and 60fps? I do!

Unable to Forge by Gametype in H3 – Customs Broken

Left For Halo 4 Dead? [New Mod]

Infungi by b0b is here

Infungi by b0b is here

When rumors were abound prior to the release of Halo 4, one of the fantastic ideas I’d come up with was a versus mode, where players would be allowed to choose which type of Flood they would be. Imagine my disappointment at learning that not only had Flood gameplay not been given much to set it apart from what people were doing in customs already, all the Flood looked EXACTLY alike, AND they didn’t even look like Flood!! Add to that the annoying rabid-donkey-bred-with-a-gunieau-pig sound the Halo 4 Flood make, and I was going to be even less likely to play Flood than I had been previously.

But what’s this?! Someone has had a similar fantastic idea, and a Halo 4 custom gametype mod has been created that not only allows players to choose different types of Flood similar to Left 4 Dead versus, like a Battlefield 4 medic you can even “heal” your teammates when they’re infected by a slow-infecting Flood!

The gametype also includes other features such as being able to scale objects and make objects disappear when a Dominion base is taken.

MMHC is a Halo Diehards group started by Yukon46, and stands for “MatchMaking Haters Club”. The group is exclusive and centers around the more “traditional” flavor of the Halo gametypes, using Official MMHC-created games in a mix of slayer, objective and occasional “fun game”. Mellow, friendly gamers of all skill levels are welcome, although the majority of our participants fit in the 30+ yr old competitive-casual category.

Looking for some low-key, groovin’, Halo 4 gaming fun that’s aged to perfection? Come join Halo Diehards MMHC Group for some custom game action. If you feel like chillin’ with the Old School, send an invite & message “MMHC” to: ‘AA HaloDiehards’ or ‘YUKON46’ ahead of time, and let YUKON46 or AddiCt3d 2CHa0s know you’re out there. Again, participants are in the 30+ yr old age group and easy to get along with.

Come introduce yourself in Yukon’s Official MMHC thread at Halo Diehards Forums >>
